RR: Crying over spilled M(i)LK

let it be known today i officialy sucked a$$. Posted a ride for el moro with some cool str peeps and I never made it. I've never been the guy to flake but today i proved myself wrong

While the reason for being late was unavoidbale (dead battery due to my son playing with and leaving on the overheadlight) reason for no show was pathetic (in the "craziness" i forgot to pack my camelback and when i noticed decided just to turn back and go home).

While I did get a decent ride in later in the day locally (alone and in the "rain") a huge apology to Kevin, Darin and all the rest who showed up at el moro and hopefully had a fun ride anyway.

Hope the count wasn't too high as next time beers on me

Ahh cool....I sure could have used a beer today though. Ya know we would have waited for you. Dave, Fried Your Momma, forgot his helmet and we went back to get it, while he did that everyone did a trail down and then came back up the street.

It was a pretty fun ride today. I think I'm almost over everything (last of the chest cold) this time. I was able to climb pretty well, but still got off the bike once down rattle snake. Geezzz I need to find some tires that are something between the xc tires I have and the Navagals I tried, which make me feel like my tires are full of sand.

It was a good day overall, except Darin went down on Rattle Snake and has a pretty good scrape on his ankle, and Jose when OTB and jammed his hand. NOw I don't feel so back walking that section.

Pretty cool ride today (literally). Unfortunately we didn’t see the ride organizer Kid A Glad to have met everyone. There were about 8 of us that met up at Ridge Park. Dave/Fire Yo Mamma forgot his helmet so he & CC went back to get it.

In the meantime six of us - Darin(Maxwell), Jeff, Jose(ShinKen), Kevin(Xhusker), myself and a younger guy (forgot his name) rode TK’s trail (?). Nice little 3.75 mile loop from the car. Pretty sweet single track with a little hike-a-bike. Once the trail ends, there is the long ride back to the car via paved road.

Just as we approached the cars, CC & Dave were coming back w/his helmet. We regrouped then headed into El Moro. Started down Rattlesnake; as we get into the groove I see Maxwell go down, then ShinKen. Both were OK, but Maxwell sporting a little blood.

From here we went down to Mach One, up I Think I Can, then up the ridge. The group headed to BVD (?)/LCWP as I headed back to the car via Missing Link & Fence Line.

Sweet ride guys & gal. Darin, thanks for taking us to TK’s trail.

Fun times on MLK day! Thanks guys for waiting for me as I had to go back and get my helmet. Thanks CC for keeping me company on the way back to my pad. I felt good on that ride I can feel I am getting back more into biking shape. Thanks guys for convincing me to ride the last single track ride down into laguna canyon. I was just not looking forward to climbing out of that Biaaatch. Thanks Kevin for the M and Ms and peanuts those hit the spot.
