Default RR: Weekend review...

2nd weekend back on the bike and what a weekend it was... Sat I met up with Ann, Andy, Burner, and Klutter for Blackstar/Skyline.. We hit up Blackstar got really windy toward the top ran into a docent let ride as well as Waldo's ride up to Eagle road. At the top We almost turned around but time is a wasting between now and CC for me and and my come back from the Broken Ankle so with Brace on and Jacket to keep warm we decended Skyline and hit up parts of single tracks that lead to the bottom. When we hit the gate on the other side we turned around after a short break and headed back up... No one could keep up with Klutter, boy has serious case of going fast on the CX bike back up to Beeks in both directions... Andy Middle ringed the whole ride and Ann had no choice, she brought her 1X8 and proceeded to drop Andy like a bad habit on the way back up. I did manage to middle ring Skyline and we rtan into Waldo and company up at Beeks. Headed back to the cars for a total of 26.2 miles and 4425 feet of climbing. Cronic Tacos and home for some carb therapy...

Sunday I headed out from my house on my new friend the Dos Who has been on a diet but that is another story... We rode a combination of bike trails paved and unpaved over to Aliso up the canyon to Dripping Cave, up Mathis, down Rocket, up Cholla up to TOTW, down Meadows and out, with some variations on the paths headed back to Dana Point. Which with all the rolling hills between aliso and my house I was able to net 4181 ft of climbing with 3414 miles of travel... Nice day time for a little Carb Therapy

Grand total for the weekend

60.26 Miles
8606 ft of climbing

Recovery is coming along

JSims, it was good meeting up with you guys on Sat @ Blackstar. Major kudos for kicking so much butt with so little recovery time.

I managed to middle ring it the whole way up for my first time ever up there, but am paying the price today.

I hate it when my ego ignores my body's warning signs
