Default FYI: Claremont Night Riding

I've never been and live fairly far away but just FYI to those who ride it or live nearby: night riding at Claremont Park is not legal and word is that they're going to get tougher on it and start citing people. Any Claremont night riding thread will be treated just like any illegal trail thread on here (deleted). Wouldn't want to see anybody on here slapped with a citation

This was brought to my attention by claremont chief of police and then I confirmed it with two other sources.

Just wondering, did the Chief contact you via the message board?

If so, remember people, don't post pictures of things you dont want to disappear, those jumps at SCST come to mind.

Through the 'contact us' link at the bottom of every page.

Yeah,it's off limits.Problem is people ride up from Marshall Cyn.and try to sneek into Claremont W.P.and back over.Seen a few tickets issued.Best thing is to stay out of there after sunset.-Lloyd

I find this somewhat amusing. I have talked to park rangers a number of times on rides at night and never have I been told we couldn't ride after dark. But there is a sign on the Claremont side that does say, "Park closes at dusk", so I'll head the warning and stay out.

If anyone else is so inclined maybe we could approach the city council. One of the city council members is in my road club.
