Default New Fully Bumps??

Road Fully Tuesday and noticed a heck of a lot more "speed bumps" on a couple of the downhills.

I dont know the names of each of them, but I know there were quite a few new bumps out there I never saw before. Had to use the breaks a little bit more as I didn't know what was over each bump.

Did Tuttle move into Fullerton?

I believe it's an attempt at building water bars for drainage.

nancy is correct. after the last couple of storms, those 'waterbars' appeared mainly on the 'mormon downhill' section of the loop.

Is it gone? Do you now need to go left at the split, or is the dip on the right still passable?

I think that the kids that build the bmx jumps took it. Coleko and I saw a board over there that kind of looked like the log crossing.

The tree blocking the single track before the lake is gone and the city fixed the huge rut before the tunnels.

As for the log crossing its gone. Although I could be wrong me and pugz seen a board that kinda looks like what was used for the crossing at the bmx jumps.

word on the street is someone took a face plant off the log bridge.

I was there Tuesday too. Lot's of grooming by the city going on. Still muddy by the train tracks before the golf course.

dang, that is gay. maybe they can pave all the dirt too, because someone might washout in a loose section.

Not True. The bridge will be back. The city does not endorse or acknowledge the existence of any bridge (or the employees who *may* have been involved in it's original deployment). If you ride out there and get hurt, you are on your own. Your mother taught you better than to trifle with mother nature, gravity, and bicycles. Dangerous stuff.

If Bill Bemke shows up at the loop tonight, you should talk to him about the ongoing trail maintenance and management plan discussions. He is one of the advisers to the committee making the decisions.

I have been critical of this site before since 80% of the workload is carried by 20% of the riders but I would rather just say I am very selective in choosing friends. The city does not proceed without a plan, though notices were not posted on the route they likely WERE up at city hall.

I would say that if you organize group rides on a given route it is your responsibility to determine any potential hazards at least a week in advance. If local government is hesitant to communicate simply take your dilemma before this community . In the past, despite most preferring only to talk I have been able to recruit some of the best help ever and have gotten quite a bit more work done as a team.

Happy Trails,
Disco
