We have the same Coach/Trainer and we actually met in person for the 1st time on Saturday. I didn't see his bike, but this one looks more like him.

Gotta give Cid props. (You usually see him manning the cash register at The Path.)

He did great. He is a brave man to run Eggbeaters during a DH race!

Now where do I lodge a protest? Who let the XC guys into my class?!!! Darn pedaling machines!!!

Congrats Andy aka Rut:

Thanks Winston! The Crank Bros Pedals are what kept me on my bike! I don't know about "pedaling machines" because I hit that wall pretty solidly too. I felt great until the wind practically stopped me. Ouch!
I think I was most surprised at my dry mouth at the end of the race. Talk about cotton mouth.

Just checked the results and I got bumped down a spot in the beg XC 35-44 class. At the race I was 7th but on their site I'm 8th. Bummer, time stayed the same but they must have put the guy above me in the wrong class originally. Oh well, still not a bad day!

I never got his name, but he was cool as hell. Evil got a flat just before his first moto in 4x and he let him borrow his bike. I got it back to him just before his run.
davidb got a great sequence of Evil crashing on Bob's bike.

While Bob was waiting for his bike (I didn't know why at the time), he was standing in the gate as if he was on his bike. Fortunately the starter held the race up for him. It would have been cool if there was a photo of that, because Bob looked like he would have taken off running at the start, if he had to.

Somebody should tell Bob about STR; he'd fit in well here.

Few pics from race day: Most of shots from up in the saddle are long range shots because the wind was so strong I couldnt steady the camera enough for accurate shooting

Dino defies God's wrath against all things Iron Horse and waits to be struck down by lightning

Nancy

SD Yeti - firmly planted on the ground

Some other Female Pro - and by that I dont mean a hooker on a bike....altho this is the 909

Getting some lock on after getting blown 2ft to the left

Meeeeeee-shell Riviera (Is it just me or does that sound like a stage name?)

Sarah

Dude decides to stay extra low through the saddle - and who can blame him. Sat up there with Heather and Dino we saw plenty of people getting blown off. None of which were anything to do with that Pro on a bike mind you

Few shots whilst walking down to see how Sarah got on

The guy on the rock playign guitar deserves a medal. He msut have had all his equipment covered in grit and dust and played like a demon. I'm bringing some $$ for this guy next time

Man on bicycle

Man doing science experiment with bike rather than apple

Litttle Luke

Pedal!

Glam Rock alive and well in the 909 - Love the silver shoulder pads ziggy

Mann-hunt

Shocking the state of some of these gardens

Nice view

Sarah did incredibly well in her 1st Pro race and came in 6th. I'll be putting a
