Default Upper and Lower Winter Creek Loop

I managed to sneak out of the house twice today to exercise. This morning I ran two loops around the Rose Bowl (6 miles) and short loop out of Chantry this afternoon. My afternoon ride was a total last minute thing. Gunned it over there and banged out the loop. Killer surprise and killer way to end the weekend.

Man my new Niner hauls a$$. Using a 1x9 (32x34) really covers some ground. And the 29er rolls over all the rocks on that trail so well. I had to stop a lot for hikers finishing their day but I managed to bang out the loop in about an hour.

The trail is in amazing condition. You would not even know we had a ton of rain the other weekend. Anyway not much of a ride report but thought I would share my joy.

I did that last Sunday. The gate was closed, so the climb up was nice with no cars. Great fun!

Did that for two years while the road was washed out and gate was locked. It is nice to have the gate open again. I will save my legs for the dirt thank you. Although it was nice having the place to ourselfs for a couple of years.
