Default RR:Chiquita Ridge Singletracks

Awesome ride today with OMR, Thinkfast and TalksWithFoxes. The weather was warm and the trails had dried out enough to not be sapping our energy. The hills had greened up nicely after the last rains.

We did a sweet route through Chiquita Ridge Singletracks then dropped into Coto via the Palomia Trail and then back into the Chiquita area via the Sawgrass Trail.

Then we headed down Ladera Ridge singletrack which was oh so beautiful and finally did Waterworks before heading back up Tijeras Creek Trail to the cars (where we had some Stone Pale ales waiting on ice ).

Total ride length was 16 miles and 2046' of gain.

Awesome ride guys! Thanks for the good company.

John what do you use for the panorama shot? Software that stitches things together?

Great pics guys - those look like some fun trails.
I'd thought about RSVPing for this one, but a slightly sore knee made me decide to take a day or two off the bike. Love to join you next time on this route, especially if you can arrange for another day of flawless weather!

We are lucky dogs to have weather and conditions like this in January compared to the rest of the U.S.

Are you sure it wasn't me with some Trail Angels? We did Ladera Ridge and Waterworks earlier today.

Thumbs up Thanks Grasshopper John:

Couldn't have picked a better day to ride. Been off the bike for about 2 weeks... funny how quickly the fitness level drops. This was a perfect ride to get back into bike flow. John knows these trails exceptional well and with his faithful indian side kick, (Chip) riding by his side..... (wait a minute, he's not an indian!), they make riding this area one discovery after another. Troy completed our little hardy group. He's always fun to ride with... that's if you can catch him!

I've only ridden a couple of these trails with John. Each time something different. Today was no different. There is one section of the trail that comes down through trees...absolutely beautiful! ... Plenty of challenging drops from the ridgeline and the single track below Oso is to die for. If you haven't ridden this area yet... do yourself a favor and sign up for one of John's rides... they are the best.

Looking forward to our next trip back to Chiquita Ridge single tracks.

Great, we just bought Creative Suite CS3 Standard at work. I can't wait to see all of the improvement over CS which is what I am using right now.
