Default Chino Hills State Park Still Closed

Chino Hills State Park will be closed the entire weekend. I spoke to a Ranger today and was told the park will be closed at least until Tuesday. Depending on conditons, could be longer.

Wanted to post this in case anyone was thinking of riding CHSP tomorrow.

From what I hear there have been riders ignoring the closure postings and crossing the closed fence. Not Good!

Thanks for posting. Knowing the clay soil there, and how slowly things have been drying out during the cool week, I'm not surprised at all that that park is still closed.

Riders, equestrians, and hikers have been ignoring the park closure on the Chino Hills side. Pisses me off because it destroys the trails, but what can you do...

After the rain before the last storm I visted CHSP after it was dried up and saw that the equestrians did some damage. From the hoof prints it looked like the horses were having problems and sliding with each stride. Hopefully this time it won't be so bad.

Someone (equestrians I guess, but can't be sure) knocked down part of the wooden fence so they could walk around the metal gate It's an easy path for their horses to ride around. Biker or hikers wouldn't need to do this, they just hop over the metal gate.

Bikers are evil! The culprits HAVE to be bikers!
