Call this number: Aliso Woods - 1-949-923-2200

Most parks are 2 - 4 days depending on how much rainfall.

They close El Moro if somebody spits too much! The rangers at that particular park seem to be the laziest ones of all the parks. They are always the first to close and the last to open. Aliso Woods is usually the first park to open after a rain... one reason is that Ed (head ranger) is an avid mountain biker and knows when to open the park and when not to.

we rode LCWP this morning; it was still really muddy, should have stayed closed one more day. Aliso's probably a better bet today, drains better.

I was going to ride LCWP from Ridge Park. I called and they said they were open, but there was too much mud at Ridge Park and I hate cleaning mud off my bike. Maybe tomorrow.

LOL... Foo.. I passed you when you were carrying the wood down there the other day... I thought to myself.. "Check this guy out.. bringing wood to make jumps".... LOL.. anyways.. i saw the wood today and it is still there however thrown off to the side..

The trails were in pretty good shape.. I rode from CV park up cholla and then to top of world and back. There are a couple muddy spots on the ridgeline but there are ways past them without doing a swamp buggy imitation.

Hopefully you didn't see any tire tracks left by the rangers Jeep? I remember Foo and I saw that on the upper ridge between Cholla and Lynx. That really sucked!

You can check the county parks on the website. Here's the Aliso link:

http://www.ocparks.com/alisoandwoodcanyons/

Watch Meadows though, I went down meadows after they opened the park after the previous rain and it was a mess. Muddy, rutted, nasty!

Has anyone rode Aliso in the last few days? How are the condition? Sloppy or mostly hardpacked? I attempted to ride Lake Calaveras yesterday and that place is still a mess...... I turned around after about 1/2 mile. Gracias
