That'd probably be good, but other than Blackstar I've never ridden any of what you are talking about Directions?

I agree, this would be a good route for some VQ training....,if you started at Black Star.

Skyline would be kinda like going up Maple Springs. I am going to do it at least once before the CC.

I may do the Black Star to Eagle to Skyline and back down Black Star Friday if I don't do Tour De Aliso part II.

here is a link to a blackstar/eagle/skyline personal route that may be helpful (has miles/ascent/map), had it stashed under 'routes to do', plan on trying this one within the next few weeks

You should write down the directions so you have them once you hit the street. I didn't know the area when I did this loop and I was glad someone else had the turn by turn on the street. I probably would have never found Skyline otherwise.

Have fun.

excellent advice. I was looking at the map zoomed in and the street route seemed slightly convoluted, but maybe that's just me. Possibly print out a map too, zoomed in so you have the surrounding street names to avoid 'exploring alternate destinations' . The route I linked doesn't have the blow by blow turn directions, so you have to use one of the other ones.
