Default Fullerton Loop Trailwork Recommendations

I recently contacted representatives from the city's Landscape Maintenance Department regarding possible volunteer trailwork, and they have responded positively to the idea.

It was suggested that we meet at a location on the Loop I was interested in working on, and, as so many of us get so much enjoyment from this trail, thought I'd throw it out to the group to help determine where this work might take place.

I expect we'll exchange ideas and determine an initial goal, but also hope to establish an ongoing relationship so as to make this a recurring event with semi-regularity.

So, a poll. Helps if you've been there before, so if any clarification is needed, just ask:

Edit: Doh! Poll disappeared. Will come up with some candidate areas during the Thursday ride, and post them at a later date.

what mr. sims said. its too bad that those small ladder bridges in 'blair witch' are always getting displaced, they do serve a great purpose in that area.

I dont really know what areas need any serious trailwork mabe the riverbed? I thought this was mountain biking not bike path riding I cant see fixing holes, ruts etc the loop isnt very bad anyways. Maybe some of the climbs could use a little cleaning up otherwise nothing there really bothers me

I think down by the RR traks could use a tune up. Maybe raise a path so people could get through there and not be in the muddy soup.

im with rockinthecasbah, the loop really doesn't need a lot of work. some of the trails up around the water tank (blair witch?) could use some brush clearing and some tree trimming (definitely not very tall rider friendly).

also, i agree that the area past the tunnels could use some work. perhaps you can make a new trail to the right that incoporates a creek crossing to get back to the other side. that'd be kinda cool

I would agree with fixing the area around railroad tracks. A water crossing would be cool as well. Just let me know when and where.
