My boyfriend lives on the loop at Hiltshire Park and he was talking to the trail guy last week. The trail guy specifically mentioned that he was contacted by a mountain biker who wanted to do trail repair and the trail guy was very happy about that. So kudos to you Ladd Jasper.

FYI, the Fullerton horse people have always been responsible for maintaining the trails but there are less and less of them and more and more bikers so it's probably time to step up. I'd be happy to help.

That hole just before the tunnels could probably be tweeked a little.

Thanks for the replies and feedback, all. I mentioned to the city reps. there's plenty of interest here, and appreciate you all backing up that statement.

I was initially sorry the poll got lost, but now think some live input will work out for the better. I'm sure we'll come up with something appropriate on Thursday, and I'll in turn post it here. Will need to meet with the city's rep. after that, then it’s on to the task of setting a date. Whew.

Nah, nothing "serious" about it. Mainly rut/ hole filling, maybe some brush trimming, etc. As for the future, who knows?

Technical trails definitely have their place, and should remain as untouched as possible to age and wear naturally. The Loop simply isn't one of those trails. The urban location and diverse user base lead me to believe the main trails exist best as a well maintained, multi-use system. Be great if we could have it to ourselves, sure, bit it just isn't going to happen.

The work will get done eventually if STR is involved or not. Could be a good opportunity to establish a relationship with the city, though, and...wait for it... "give something back."

Tell me about it, bubb. As one who has built a couple of those bridges, it's pretty disheartening to see them tossed over the fence or smashed or burned or thrown down the hill or...

Amen to this, Dave. Top of the list. However, I believe the RR owns or otherwise controls that property, and so is likely out of the city's hands. I'll definitely bring it up, though, see if that is indeed the case and try to determine any other options.

Thanks, Sweetpea. Hopefully it will all come together nicely and we can get something good going. Pretty new to this, so we'll see!

Keep me informed via pms or whatever, I live a Mile from the loop so time is easily invested, even if it means city meetings.

Any chance you'll be at the Loop/Roscoes Thurs. We can discuss this in more detail then. I'd like to help out too, But I have trail work scheduled this Sat in the Santa Ana's and now have to work Sun mornings.

I think we should dig about fifty holes or so along the singletrack. You know, give the trail some character. We could fill them with leaves and twigs and stuff to make it even more of a challenge....just a thought.

Right on Gene, could use some experienced help. I'll be there Thursday for the 2nd lap and Roscoe's. Can't meet with the city rep. 'til next week (if he's available), so your Sat. commitment won't be an issue.

Please stay out of the "Blair Witch" area....I have been riding that area for many years and there are too many trails being carved up there...there used to be only 1-2 now theres like 50 variations....i
f any thing is done we should block off some of the trails and let it grow back to the way it was a single single track...

There is only 1 hole I know of that would need to be fixed and that's just before you enter the tunnel...I've seen a couple eat it there....but other then that the Loop doesn't need any maintance....

City maintance has already cleared the bush in a few areas which took away a very cool feel to the begining area single track...
