Default La Costa Preserve trails status

I noticed that some work has been done to fix up the trails out there and have heard something about a "new trail." Can anyone give an update on things out there?

Yes there is a new trail that is scheduled to open on the upcoming trailwork day. Rich (aka Taffy15 on MTBR and of Flightline Fame) has not only taken on La Costa as his baby but is now on the SDMBA board. He is a great role model for use all on the advocacy and trailwork front. Come out and show your support on the trailwork day.

Yup, I'll be there on the 19th. Much respect to Taffy. As a local guy who misses Flightline, I am stoked that real riders have got a shot to improve the trail network at LC.

I rode there today and saw several new waterbars added to the middle portion of the horney toad trail where it wraps around the front (west) side. Kudos to whoever did this in preparation of the "big" storm.

There's also a fairly new set of switchbacks to get back up to the top of horney.

See you guys on the 19th.
