Default Things I have broken in 2008

Thought I'd start the year off with an early SJT & loop. Sweet ride up to Cocktail a little wind, temp was about 60 already at 7.00am.
Started down the clockwise part trail is just sweet, running thru the trees towards the bottom. I'm thinking man what a great day.
Boosted off a big rock, next thing I remember is riding a nose wheelie from hell down a steep rocky part of the trail. Luckly a tree root stopped me in my tracks & I landed on my head.

Broken front wheel
Broken Helmet
Broken Speedo
Broken Pinky Finger
Broken fork

My helmet split big time!. Managed to pull my front wheel back into a ridable shape, & headed back down.

Great way to start a new year, glad I always wear my helmet & keep it tight. Fingers a little sore but I'll live.
Lets hope that was it for a while, I was due for a spill. Any way healing vibes to everybody thats missing some skin or has swollen limbs.

Happy New Year!

I had my final spill for 07 at santiago oaks on the 31st. Jammed shoulder, bruised legs and a bunch of scrapes. Kinda ruined my plans for a jan. 1st ride but what can you do, right?

happy new year.

If that's the worst of it, you're in good shape. Glad it wasn't worse.

Looks like the fork is bent back slightly, I was moving with some spped, took a jump & landed front wheel into a hole, I've bent a fork like this before. I need to get it looked at because it could have been the blow to the head that was making it look asque!
