Default Mountain Lion Article from OC Register

Great, though tragic, article documenting the fate of a mountain lion following the recent fires. This ran in the OC Register a few days ago:

Game Warden Finds Mountain Lion Badly Injured in Fire
(with apologies if someone else has already posted this)

BAMBOO CAVE: Lt. Dan Sforza with Fish and Game recently had to kill a mountain lion that was found here, in this bamboo shelter near Irvine Lake. The cat had been badly burned during the Santiago fire. The 2-year-old lion was part of a mountain lion study and had been collared at Cam Pendleton in 2006

Thanks for posting, Bob. Interesting on how they can track these animals. And, even though very sad, good to know she's not suffering anymore.

5,000 cougars and only a handful in Orange County?

Poor thing suffered for a long time.
