Default Lake Hodges North Shore open!

Drove by on my way home and the north side of
Hodges is open from the Sunset Dr trail head by the
Shell/Chevron! It seems south and east are still closed
though. I will set up some night rides soon. Check for
trail updates at sdrp.org.

I thought it would be longer before any of it was open, thanks for the info.

Awesome!! Surely it has lost some of its allure (read: most of it) with barren hillsides, but it IS my "hometown trail" and it will be nice to ride it again. Might do some recon tomorrow and post up pictures.

The burn areas are already starting to grow back with all the rain we just had. The grasses in the valley are
already about 1 inch tall....places that were completely
black last week are turning green! I think with the
re-growth and the stablization of the soil the trails
will be opened sooner than most thought. They are
just cutting alot of the burned trees and deadfall out,
which takes some time.

I think it would be fun to ride in post apocalyptic North Hodges.

SPec Ed and I will be riding there Saturday at 3PM if anyone wants to join us. I won't have a lot of time so I'm not going to post an official ride.

Oh now you're going to N. Hodges? Oh well, I'll be on a plane to Mt. Tam. Enjoy.

I'm still going to the other ride too.

I wonder how long until South Hodges is open.
