No Tuttle, but a bit of muddle near his place. I had to wonder if it was natural runoff from the last rains, or if someone watered down that patch of road (pretty sure it was natural).
I wont bother with a full RR since so many know Blackstar well, but it was a nice ride. Pretty clear night, so we could see a million city lights from up top. I just got lights a couple days ago, and I like them. I'm running a NiteRider SolMate helmet light and a NiteRider MiNewt X2 Dual handlebar light. Both worked great and will suit my needs well. Having the dual handlebar light is cool since you can aim them individually for wider coverage, or concentrate them for a brighter, farther beam on one spot. (a few times I aimed one up at overhanging ledges, just in case). And for most of the blimb, the SolMate was all I needed, especially if one of my friends was close. Run times were plenty, though a slight battery mishap on the MiNewt meant I didn't get the full time (my fault). The SolMate was still going strong when I got home, so I left it on in the garage to see how long it would last. 12:30am....still strong, after nearly 6 hours on! 9am....still glowing, though pretty weak. I'm sold. Big thanks to Pho'd Up and LoisMustDie for hanging with me on this ride. They are both faster than me up and down, so I really appreciate them taking their time so that I wasn't alone in the dark. I look forward to more nights on the trails.

Welcome to the world of nights! Can't wait till the Luge is open again. I miss riding STT > Old Camp > Luge > Cook's after.
