RR: Sladnas/Daley Ranch Newbie Ride
Wow, what an awsome turnout this morning. It was so exillerating(sp?) to see a community come together for a cause such as this, very impressive. I am glad to have been able to witness such an occasion. I also want to thank you all for inviting me on your enormous group ride. I'm sorry I couldn't stick around for the fun after and say goodbuy to those of you who I have met for the first time, but I had to get back to my family obligations. Also to everyone I met on the ride to put an face to an avatar was great, and I look forward to riding with you guys and gals in the future. When I explained how things were with my wife she seemed happy knowing that in January when she can get back on the bike again, there will be opportunities for her to experience what I did this morning.
Got a question....is it just me, or is a huge bowl of hot Ramon (chili flavored) the second best tasting thing after a chilly morning ride? First place of course is that nice cool Ale of choice. Once again thanks for the hospitality, and fun ride. [SIZE=3]Red Hot Sloth[/SIZE] |

I also had a blast riding with group B, met a lot STR regulars, wonderful weather but best of all the people, it was great to witness such a proof of kindness.

What an amazing turnout! It was so great to meet so many STR folks I hadn't met before.
The parking lot started filling up fast early this morning. Everyone gathered before the ride to present Mark with his new bike. Here he is saying a few words.  Then it was onward down the trail. It was a bit muddy in spots but mostly nice and tacky everywhere else.   Denmother and Roger     |
