So is it worth the drive from San Diego? How far is it? MountainBikeBill's video's look awesome on this trail.

Dstepper was kind enough to guide a group of us a few months ago and I have to say that I am still trying to wipe the smile off my face.....Killed an entire day the way a day deserves to be killed.

Definitely worth the drive! Did it for the first time a couple years back and I think it is one of the best trails around. Cant beat singletrack and the scenery.

One of the best in SoCal.

My favorite in the San Bernardino forest.

Without a doubt. It's almost a 2 hour drive for me but it's also my favorite trail. Well worth it.

I'm probably biased because I live right down the hill from it and I ride it a lot, but it's definitely worth the drive. You have to at least do it once and see for yourself.

I have a couple of short videos of it on my blog - http://socalmtbiking.blogspot.com/
Just click on "SART" under Ride Descriptions.

Be warned - I'm pretty sure it's closed right now from all the rain. It's rained here almost nonstop for the last 14 hours.

River Trail was super chilly today. Not sure what the average temps were....but it was rather inhospitable:-) There was a dusting of snow on the trail behind Angeles Oaks....other than that it was all clear for the most part.

The route that I do up beyond Jenks Lake to Poop Out Hill had a good covering of snow.....maybe an inch at the most. Still ridable but very cold.

If the temps stay the way they are now I would avoid the 7am ride time(that's what time I started)......it didn't get reasonable until 10:30 or soo.

Only saw one other group out there....otherwise it was an absolute ghost town.

Have fun out there next saturday.....wish I could go.

Is it ever!!! One of SoCal's best trails. The route I usually do is 32 miles and is seriously 90% singletrack. It's hard to beat SART.
