Agreed, I was a little cold on the decent down Blackstar last night. Think I will wait until the next thaw to get back up to SART.

When I went up there, it was my first time and had no idea where I was going. We parked near the cabins on 7 oaks and did an out and back on sart. So the ride time was in our control.

Need to get on an organized ride up there to learn some loops.

if you could hook up with Dean (dstepper) he is very familiar with the area and never disappoints. If you are fast, Brian (donkey) used to live in the area and knows it well as well.

We rode it last Sunday. Learned our lesson this time, if it has snowed forget about going down Glass road. This time the fire road near the post office was closed too.

We had to "skate" down as it was pretty icy but once we were beyond that it was a winter wonderland. There was snow on many parts of the trail but it was still rideble. Just took a little more effort to climb, but if you like to see the trees and trails with a snow on them it's well worth it.

I think the temps were below 40 all day. The fireplace at the little Mexican restaurant in Forest Falls felt really good.
