Hey Deb, sorry I didn't ride with you guys more. I saw you guys leaving Holy Jim and you were out in the front group. As Eron, slayer, kish me and I rode out from HJ, I could see you guys in the distance, but couldn't catch up. I finally hooked up with Hugh as he stoped to take pics. As you know WHT is no picnic, but coming down Holy Jim was fun. We didn't have the water or energy to do Upper HJ. Next time! Great job yesterday. You ladies rock!

BTW, can you believe that Kim and her friend Linda made it to the top of HJ? I thought for sure they called it a day. Please tell her great job for me. Maybe she can sign up on STR.

Gene, what is your Warrior's name? With this new line of rides that you're putting out, I think they should change it

Sounds like you guys had a blast, like any good masochist would! Looking forward to seeing you all on the trails soon.

Gene's Warrior name fits him well: Guides new Warriors .... and this is the charter that he has chosen. The success of his rides are an indication of the need that has gone unfilled ... riders looking for a group of others that they can ride with, challenge themselves and have fun. It's why many of us took up mountain biking in the first place. As true Warriors, we owe it to others to help them mature as riders... that is our responsibility... and it sure is fun!!!!

Default Holy Jim to Trabuco and Back

It was so nice to meet you Wilhelmina! I am very impressed by your determination and astounded you have only been riding for one year. You are the Queen & you rule! Debbie

I definitely want to try going further next time. I couldn't believe how long just Holy Jim was! I'm looking forward to go back though. It was AWESOME riding down. Thankfully OMR's neighbor rode down HJ so that was cool.

Hope everyone else had a good ride.

I had an amazing time today and I owe many many thanks to Gene for hangin back with me. Your encouragement means a lot to me! That was my first time at HJ and I really liked it, though it was tough. I'm glad Gene was there to help me through it Those switchbacks are tricky - especially the left ones!

Coming down HJ was a lot of fun! I mostly rode down with OMR's neighbor, Craig, and we had a blast. It was very rewarding to ride down what was a loooong steady climb. I went through my whole 100 oz. camelbak, so it's probably a good thing that I just did the HJ ride.

My afternoon nap was awesome and I'm going to sleep well tonight and look forward to the next training ride.

Thanks again Gene - you are the best.

At the rate you're going, it will happen soon, plus you're a youngster.

Thanks for asking Hugh. The back is fine after a few hours off the bike and on the couch. I think I just made the cockpit a little too cramped with the changes I made to the bike.
