This is what Mt. Baldy looked like today. My last job was on Mills so figured I'd do a short spin at CWP had seen some riders out there earlier but it's now closed. On my way back home saw 3 mountain bikers riding up Baldy Road.... *cough*

there's always next weekend Vic...I think Dean is correct, it's going to be a iittle while until we can enjoy some local riding...although the San Gabs always tend to re-open, fingers crossed

Remember a couple of year’s back they keep Big Santa Anita Canyon closed the last half of the summer. Everyone had to move out of their cabins. There is no quick way out of those canyons in a fire. Many are near box canyons...very dangerous in a fire.

Yeah, but as long as the winds aren't blowing....I'm thinking they'll reopen.

Can you imagine what Aliso would look like if it's the only thing open?

Dean, I'd really be pushing it if I took off on another road trip. 3 out of the last 4 weeks would not go over to well. I still am very anxious to ride that area though.

Steppie- I am already in tears over the San Gabriel's being closed. Don't add to my misery by inviting me to QUAKING ASPEN.

Truth is the Halloween Ride is this weekend. Let's just say..... Uhhhh.... I have to be there. Not looking forward to viewing the Halloween Ride Report!

Yeah, but it still looks the same. That's the good thing about living here, you can never tell when a disaster has hit.

If they are closing the forests,
I want my money back!!!
