Los Pinos
Apr 14 2007, The Los Pinos Trail is a bit more open through the center 3rd(about 3 to 4 miles from the top) thanks to the trail maintenance efforts of the Warriors Society. I went along as one of the volunteers to clear brush. We hiked about 3 miles up from the bottom as the other group hiked down from the top. Armed with chain saws, clippers and a hedger, we cleared quite a bit of branches and brush. The trail itself, as like most due to the lack of rain, is very dry and loose. Lots of technical and fast sections. Here are some pics. Forgive the quality as they were taken with my phone.
