Default Anyone been up La Tuna Cyn lately?

Last time I was there PO was everywhere. Has anyone been there to cut some of it back? What condition is the ST in?

I was at La Tuna last week and there was quite a bit of P.O. on the singletrack that comes out onto La Tuna Canyon Rd.
For comparisons sake, there's a lot more P.O. on the Gabrielino between Switzer's & Oakwilde, El Prieto and Ken Burton.

As of last night, there was a fire in the area. Not sure how close it was (is) to the trail.

We rode it a couple times in late May and early June and the PO was there, but it wasn't too hard to avoid as far as I could see.

I love that short little ride. I haven't been over there in a few years.

I was there in late June, lot's of PO everywhere, a few ticks too. Piranha holds the current record on La Tuna Canyon with 17 ticks on him in one run. Other than that, if you don't mind a few bugs and some scratching, it's a good run.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead. It'll be my first time there if I decide to go. But how is the condition on this trail lately? I don't mind the bugs but is this trail good for beginning riders if I take a few of my friends? And do you guys park off the 210 or at Stough Park Rd? I saw a post on mtbr where a person's car has been broken into when they parked off the 210.
