Default Moro Canyon

Fun ride in the OC. Hikers and bikers both love this place. Although parking is now $10!

Yesterday I rode "the usual" loop at El Moro but started up at Ridge Park instead of down at the bottom. Trails in great condition, only a puddle or two. Nice day for a ride

Rode El Moro and brief "jaunt" into Laguna Coast to ride Old Elmerald. El Moro was a little wet and muddy in spots but will dry up fast. Trails are getting a little on the overgrown side Old Elmerad was in great shape and very fast! The climb up to Rattlesnake is getting rutted again...
Great ride with some new STR victims

Default Trail report

I rode El Moro with Rob yesterday morning for a quick spin. The mustard has taken the place over. Redtail Ridge climbing up to Rattlesnake is badly in need of some trimming. There's a nice little mustard tunnel at the bottom of Rattlesnake.

Rode the full loop from the parking lop thru NO NAME RIDGE thru the FENCES & MISSING LINK and down the other side and thru EASY CUT ACROSS and MORRO CANYON

Warning: Ticketron is heavily overgrown. I was getting BEAT UP by the plants there! 5/18/2006

Getting a bit loose and dusty but still in pretty good condition. The trail leading up to rattlesnake is still overgrown but not as bad as a couple weeks ago (by a slight margin). We started at 7am to beat the heat although it was still pretty darn warm.

started at ridge park and dropped into deer canyon singletrack... holy crap i love that trail. branch came out and grabbed my handlebars and crashed... also a tree fell down right before me and i flew over the bars on that one.. missing link and fenceline are a little sandy, but rideable

I took my wayward brother and his friend out for a ride today. Trying to get them into the addiction.
Started at Ridge Park and rode Fenceline/Missing Link both ways and then did Red Tail up to Rattlesnake and back. They were both riding old hardtails with barely moving front forks, so that was enough for them. My brother went down a couple of times, but no worse for wear.
They had fun and didn't whimper too much about the climbing - a good start.
Finished with some Lee's sandwiches - have to get some food in the belly before the drinking commences!

Did a quick loop this morning starting from Ridge Park. Beautiful weather, perfect temps and nearly perfect trail conditions out there! Went down Bommer over to Redtail then hit Rattlesnake. Looks like someone has done a little trimming at the beginning of the singletrack....thank you! Really the only part of the trail that isn't ideal is the rock garden on R-snake because the rocks were wet/slippery. I had to go at a much slower than usual pace down that but otherwise you can hardly tell that I even rode my bike it is so clean! Get out there and enjoy it!
