Anyone know the current snow conditions on upper Mount Lowe? I climbed the railway from the bottom two weekends ago, and at about 80% up, I was stopped by 1 to 2 feet of snow across the entire road.

Any different currently?

I rode it 2/1/08, so this probably won't help. I was planning on riding Upper Merrill but there was around 6" of snow near Mt. Lowe Camp, so I settled for Middle Merrill instead. You can start at JPL and ride up Brown, turn right at the 3-way into Millard Canyon, then ride Mt. Lowe to Middle Merrill. Hope this helps.
