I did not ride it Today, but I will give it a run in the morning and post conditions.I am sure the dam and train tracks are still quite wet.The last time I rode after the rain was two days later and it was fair. This rain was alot worse so I imagine it is still pretty poor and alot of new water ruts.

I merged Rob's and Jeff's threads and change the title to Fully Loop Conditon. Sorry for the confusion.

Hello,

Wanted to see if anyone has checked out the loop either late Tuesday or plans to on Wednesday. Wednesday night is my regular night to ride and I'm not sure if the trail has dried up enough. Three-days is normally enough (with the exception of the area near the tracks), but wanted to hear any reports before we went ahead. We did have quite a bit of rain. We plan to avoid the area near the tracks and the golf course all together and just go straight back to the parking lot. Would appreciate any updates. If it's still muddy, we won't ride.

Thanks!

Teri

I was told by some local guys from around here that most everything is good to go except by the rr tracks, they had a bad time there. They said a few soft places, but for the most part it was a good ride. The also said the gate was open at Laguna lake.

Why is that gate every closed? If one side is open, should the other be as well? Do they just forget?

The gate is supposed to be locked on both ends at dusk and usually is. Sometimes the guy who locks the gate runs late.

Don't go for a few more days. I rode there last night and planned on riding two loops...Ended up riding one loop and hitting up heroes instead because it was super slippery in spots.

I went out last night as well to try my new lights out and cut my ride short because is was really muddy. I agree with Nomad, it should be good by Thursday.

Default Update

Just came back from the loop and took some pictures..Looks like the city is hard at work fixing all the ruts. They did add some speed bumps to slow down the water so be careful. They were fun to jump but kinda ruined the flow a little.

Here are some other random pictures.

Thanks for the recon. Some of those conditions look like they could reek havoc in the dark if you didn't know they were coming up. Still looks very muddy in spots!!!

Thanks for posting info on the current trail conditions. I plan to skip my regular Wednesday night ride. Still looks a bit muddy.
