When I was in high school (a long time ago), I was a bit curious about this LSD stuff. I heard all about the great trips, nifty things you'd see, funny feelings that LSD can give you. Now, even though you may think I'm too old to try it, I have started LSD.
As for the great trips, SART is kind of pretty beyond Anaslime Stadium, but nothing like Rome or Mars. The nifty things I see are kind of scary, but can be avoided with proper hydration and nutrition. I find the funkiest sights come with major bonking. The funny feelings are just not right! I'm going to have to start carrying Mustard to avoid that one. So far, not really sure that I like LSD. But, since Long Distance Rides are part of training, I must drudge on....hopefully I'll remember to charge my iPOD next time instead of spending the ride thinking about stupid things to type. Has anyone else found a way to make this fun? ![]()

Nonono, though when I first heard about it, I wasn't sure
LSD = Long Steady Distance--almost the same effects if you don't do it right ![]()

I ate a bag of shrooms with some friends and rode San Juan Trail. That was just too bizare for words. As much fun as shroom are, I'll never do that again.

I did the LSD on SART today.
I had to get my truck worked on, so I commuted to work on the singlespeed. I started in the dark, with the first half of the ride on the street and the second on the paved SART. Nice slow base miles. I downloaded a couple of podcasts to listen to. The iPod is nice to have on the flat rides. One ear in, one out. I normally don't like SART as much as the San Gabriel river trail, but it was very nice today. The weather was perfect. Short sleeves and shorts. Like Brewmaster saw at Chino, there were a lot of downed trees and piles of cut up lumber along the SART. Some big ol' trees. There were only a couple of other riders out. The traffic wasn't bad this morning, but was pretty scary on the way home. I was going to go by Adrenaline, so I went down Tustin Ave. Tustin has no shoulder, and Friday night drivers are PSYCHO. I won't go that way again. I did get my highest speed ever coming down the hill towards Lincoln, so it wasn't all bad. It was getting dark faster than I expected, so I skipped the shop and booked it down Chapman. I was feeling strong tonight and it went by fast. 40 or so good miles towards the CC training! Peanuts for the road animals, but good for me. I think this will be a weekly thing. The IPA is good tonight! ![]()
