Default Dawson Saddle to Mtn High now rideable

FYI-
A friend of mine rode the loop from Palmdale up Angeles Forest to Angeles Crest to Wrightwood and back to Palmdale (via Ft Tejon Rd) this last weekend. There's a section about 3/4 mile long before Grassy Hollow that's dirt/gravel but is still rideable. The section from Newcomb Ranch to Grassy Hollow had been closed the last couple years due to avalanche.

This is an epic loop about 108 miles and 11K elevation. I've started and finished from Palmdale a few times as well as from Tujunga and from La Canada. Lots of climbing and a blasting headwind from Wrightwood back through Palmdale make this a real toughy.

There's still time to ride it this year before the Iceman cometh. Anyone interested? BTW I'm a bit slower these days so won't be at lightning pace

I'm doing a lot of running and weight training this month, maybe next month me and some of my buddies will join you. It all depends, I do what they tell me to in terms of training. When long hours are required, this would be awesome.

I'll pin down a day around the beginning of Nov and post it here on STR.

I've got a couple possible takers so far - one from SF Valley and one local. I need to decide on where to officially start. If it's just me and the local crew we'll start from Palmdale. If there's enough interest from you Southers, we can start down below somewhere.

I've done this alone a couple times but with the road 'officially' closed beyond Newcomb's, if something happens, they may or may not find my bones at the bottom of the ravine next Spring. I'd prefer to die in good company
