Default Seven Bitches

Does anyone have information on the Seven Bitches ride in Orange County? I know little about the ride and found even less on the web. Looking for route description mainly, but distance, elevation gain, etc. would be nice as well.

I am thinking, what can be that big of a bitch in OC? Now if you asked if the Main Divide is a bitch, I would say yes and tell you to start from Blue Jay Campground.

Seven Sisters? I think its a hill workout in Laguna or thereabouts. I haven't ridden it myself but I think its the ride you're looking for.

Yes there are some steep road climbs here in Laguna but nothing like the dirt climbs so far as steep.

Brian come take your road bike up Canyon Acres, it is not tech just steep.

What exactly are you looking for? If you want some crazy steep hills to do workouts on, there are a ton around here that are worth trying.

There is one up around Altadena that's only 1/5 miles long but gains 200 feet of elevation. Thats the same as 1,000 feet of elevation per mile, which is pretty good.

That's what I'm looking for, thanks! Bergsteiger lives down that way so it's a good ride for us.

If you go up Lincoln into Altadena and make a left on Canyon Crest Road and a right on Risinghill Rd.

At the end of the street you'll start the climb. Like I said, it's only 1/5 of a mile, but it is steep and a good workout especialy if you're gonna do it more than once.

Risinghill Rd. is also an alternative way to get to the dirt road that accesses El Prieto singtrack. I think it's actually faster than going up the Brown Mt Rd.

Except Risinghill Rd is so steep I, um, push my bike up it

Yessir, it does take you to El Prieto. It's a pretty quick acess, and yep, it's pretty damn steep, haha.

I have rode all those streets on my MTB. After the rains when the parks are closed there are some single tracks of those streets that I hit that are not park of Aliso Park

I have been riding through anaheim hills lately and i am getting a lot of 10-12% grade climbs. Some are longer some are shorter, but all are a lot of fun going down! One of my favorite ones is the imperial highway hill just south of the 91. That thing always kicks my butt!

We've got 3 bitches in Chino Hills State Park. I'm sure you could round up 4 more bitches in OC to make 7.

I've done this loop many times and wouldn't even consider it without a 27-tooth cassette. Plan on standing - a lot. Three of those are easily 20%'ers (Park Ave is 18% for 2 miles) and more if you roll the inside line going up. When you roll into Nyes Place it's like looking at a wall...and damn near impossible to resume pedaling if you stop for any reason. Hats off to those who attempt it and those who clean it - it's quite an accomplishment.

So, where exactly does this start? I'm not familiar with the area at all.

BTW, how many man points do I earn if I do this with a 39/23?

How did I know that this would include Pacific Island. I love to hate that climb

This loop looks good, going to try it out this week.
