This is to see the actual interest in an STR Road Jersey.
Names WILL be shown to protect the innocent... This is a continuation of MTBMaven's post: STR Road Jersey Post your thoughts. |

As I mentioned on the other thread I think we'd both get one in red/grey or similar. Definitely no neon yellow. Red is easy for off-road also (you can use it to flag down the heli if you ever get lost in the wilderness). I'd probably get a club fit for XC and road riding. Just one, to use for both types of riding.
Would also like to see "SoCalTrailriders.org" down the sides or something similar. I like Pakiha's design, but open to others as well. Hopefully we can get a few shops or manufacturers/sponsors to help offset costs and promote products. I wonder if anyone like Clif or Hammer would be interested in chipping in a few bucks? Plenty of local shops (The Path, Adrenaline, Jenson) that might chip in also to add logo's etc to the jersey. I don't mind sending out emails with site info and requests for jersey sponsorship if someone wants to work on that with me also ? I'm an English major (cum laude no less, keep your minds out of the gutter!!) so have writing skilzz.

I'd be in for another jersey, especially since I resurrected Pakiha's original red/grey jersey.
I still think it would be a good idea to retain some of the off-road graphics on the jersey to hommage to the trail roots. Maybe do some graphics that kind highlight both road and mtn? Anyhow, wouldn't want to keep Mtn. only folks from wanting to order. But alas, I realize this started as a road jersey thing so I understand. I'm in for a XC fit XXL or Club fit XL. |

No I think it's the Red. He originally wanted to keep it Grey or Brown.

i guess if the logo doesnt change then it doesnt stray from the brand. but the site was founded as a community for southern california mt. bikers, not southern california road riders. the existing xc jersey wont suffice?
lol, only if its on satin sheets.

Course, my fave jersey is burgundy.. I'm a red kinda gal (Wearing red right now, actually). It looks really good on brunettes, eh! I'd wear a XC style jersey for road and mountain, btw. I think the color just might appeal to roadies a little more, but I can't speak for everyone. My road bike is red, and since I don't have any red roadie jerseys I'd wear it for that, and XC riding. Like this weekend for instance, I'd like a XC style jersey with zipper for the heat and climbing. I know, I know.. it's my fault for not getting the XC style jersey last time around, but... I wanted the S/S FR style for DHing and winter.

I like that one too, but I'm not a fan of Henry Ford's "You can get it in any color, So long as it's Black" train of thought.
Maybe this could just be the MKII Jersey. Identifying the wearers as the "OG" group. Of course then someones down the line is going to want it in pink and purple and then I'll be the one slamming the brakes.

This is a bad idea, because all roadies think about is whether their jersey color coordinates with their bike, whether the lycra makes their ass look fat, and how they are going to explain to their ladyfriend that they used the last of her shaving lotion.
Cum laude, cum soft or fake it. (Sorry, couldn't help it.) Last edited by SAR_boats; 08-14-2007 at 04:46 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
