I’ve developed an irrational hard-on for a Klein Q-Pro. Likely culprit is I rode a ’90 Klein Attitude forever, and now have an ‘05 Klein Palomino. Thus, I have a blindness for Klein..
My current road ride is the generic but functional Cannondale CAD 3 that I built up w/ new components last year. A good starter ride… Anybody own/ know a guy who owns/ or ridden a Q-Pro? |

Are you sure?
Some of those Klein road bikes are P-R-E-T-T-Y stiff/harsh riding frames. Probably harsher than your current CAAD 3. I have ridden a friends Klein roadie (can't say for sure which model it was) and I currently own a CAAD 4. The Klein was a butt-buster in comparison. If it were me, I'd be looking for a CAAD 8 or something more up to date from another company, however with that said, they do have that Klein workmanship that is a thing of beauty to behold and if you want one bad then that's just the way it is. |

I had a Pre Trek q-pro beautiful bike but a little on the harsh side... took the edge off with Spinergy carbon wheels... The color shifted from purple to royal blue.... Amazing attention to detail...

I have to agree with jeff here, although Klein makes beautiful bikes, therir road bikes are known to be very stiff and not a bit compliant. Geometery if fine, but the materials they use are just not right. Lots of other bikes out there that are more road worthy. I too love the looks.

I've ridden expensive namebrand Ti frames that were bottombusters too. Test a bunch of different bikes if possible. Some of the new carbon frames ride VERY sweet and aren't any more than Ti. Swing a leg over a Specialized Roubaix for starters.
