Default Good roadie shop recommendations

I used to ride road pretty often last year, until I had a major crash. I was heading down San Gabriel Blvd in Pasadena at about 30 miles an hour when I lost traction and flipped a couple of times. My rear der snapped in half, and my bar tape and cable housing got all shredded up. There might've been more damage, but after that, I put the roadie away and didn't look at it again.

I've been thinking about resurrecting the bike, but am not sure how to do it. I'd prefer to take it to a shop to verify what needs to be done, and then to do the work too. I don't know much about roadie shops, though, so does anyone have recommendations? I live in the San Gabriel Valley, but would be willing to drive for the right shop. And hopefully they're a Campy dealer so that I can replace the drivetrain parts that need replacement. Thanks!

Banning's Bikes in fullerton is a pretty sweet roadie shop... the staff is super nice, and they all are realy knowlegable (spelling?).... plus you can make yourself an espresso while you're there... not sure about the campy, but i would imagine, as they deal some really high end bikes too, so campy would be the obvious choice... I've had nothing but good experiences there...

good luck

Velo Pasadena has everything you would need, but they aren't cheap.

InCycle is great, and I am pretty sure they have Campy stuff.

My local shop is Montrose Bike Shop, and I would say go to them for sure, but it's a ways out of the way.

Good luck!

Neil and Jim(the shop owner) at Adrenaline are VERY knowledgeable about road bikes. We also do TONS of Campy stuff and stock it as well.

Neil rides a Lynskey Titanium, and Jim rides a Bianchi. I'm making payments on my own Lynskey Ti road bike. Between those two guys I'm sure they can answer any of your questions and help you out.

Jim and Jesse are also VERY good at bike fitting if any one needs a proper fitting done.

I'd go with Incycle because it's in the San Gabe Valley, but Helens is also good. Some complain about them being to "roadie", although I haven't experienced it first hand. I highly recommend you get the bike checked throughly after a major crash like that. Pay close attention to anything carbon.

Let me know if you want to hook up for a ride, we have all kinds of rides going on.

Yeah, I was thinking that something might've happened to the frame after the impact, like misalignment or something. It's a low-end Italian made Columbus steel frame, but I'd like to keep using it if at all possible. Thanks for all the recommendations!
