Default NYC Century

Linky to 411 -> http://www.nyccentury.org/

Did the century on my mtn bike with knobbies a few years back. Fun time but definately a bunch of knuckleheads on the road. If anyone has plans to be in NYC area at that time could be a nice add to your trip

btw- my first and prob only thread started in roadie forum

Being from NJ, we used to ride the 5-Boro tour every May. What a blast! The route would take us from Battery Park, up mid-town on Broadway, thru Central Park into Queens then the Bronxs(for about 3 1/2 seconds). Over the bridge into Brooklyn then back over another bridge ending in Staten Island. 50+miles of social-tea party fun!

have done that ride on mtb as well (multiple times) think route calls for bronx into queens rather than reverse. Fun ride as long as you stay ahead of mass pack. so many people out of shape. some of the small climbs and construction areas can become a total bottleneck.
