DC stylee:

...I believe Mayo...

Scroll down on the DC website and you'll find some other interesting things about this year's tour, including an expert saying that Contador's name was found all over Operation Puerto, but removed since he is a Spanish hero.

More ugliness to come, I'm afraid.

ummm, The rumor I heard is that Contador's name was removed because he decided to cooperate with the authorities and named other riders, etc..... He was one of the first guys fingered in Operation Puerto.

But, like I said before, you can't really expect that a rider comes from a team (Astana) that has been accused of having a whole team doping system, and think he's clean, can you?

He was cleared last year but this "expert" quoted on velonews is claiming that it was a whitewash, and he clearly was doping. Just another taint on the ass of the sport.

umm, yep, cleared due to cooperating with authorities (in the same way a witness may have charges dropped if they cooperate with police here); so, sounds like he was let go, then turned in the other dopers he knew, that leaves him as king of the dopers, eh?

If the dopers clean up the sport, then they have even more of a chance to win (cause they're against the clean guys).

For God's sake, the WHOLE TEAM that he was on last year was doping, and that team dropped out this year due to doping, how likely is it that he was THE ONE not doping? It was the team regimen...I have VERY LITTLE faith in the fact that he is not and has not doped.

But, maybe I'm just a cynic
