Got this in an email, I know some of you roadies incorporate this into your rides... so just an FYI

Regarding Glendora Mountain Road (GMR): The sign at the gate was flashing this morning (7-8-07) Open to Traffic. 7-9-07. 9am. There was a flyer on the gate, trying to gain support for a closed road on Sunday mornings from 6am to Noon. An interesting email exchange with the County Planning Deputy is linked to the following site. Visit . . . http://www.toporoute.com/saveGmr.htm

I guess it had to happen sometime. Bummer that we'll have to keep the speeds lower when we're headed down.

Hopefully it'll take a while for the word to get out and we won't have it to bad. The police have a very strong presence in the area right now and even have some hide aways where they can clock the guys on motorcycles as they are coming up. I've seen so many of these guys get tickets, but they just keep getting them.

Not to worry guys. I am currently planning a sabatoge mission to close the road to traffic for the next few years.

It will involve dental floss, a gum wrapper, a film cartridge and a pocket knife.

I believe that's already been done. You'll have to think of something new and inventive.
