I don't think I'll remember who is riding what bikes (there may be more than one blue Klein or Kona Paddy Wagon). Memory is one of the first things to go as I age.

Anyone wearing an STR jersey?

I'll be wearing a Honda Cycling Club Jersey and riding a blue/white Specialized Roubaix. However, there will be a few other people from the club riding the event.

I'll be there. Just checked Amtrak schedule and there is a train departing from there at 4:00, 5:20 and 6:20 (no baggage service) PM. I'll hopefully be there for the 4:00 return back to Fullerton. There is a 3PM train if anyone gets there early.

Back in my road racing days I did this w/some really strong teammates, including four strong riders on *two* tandems. Fun!

When we pulled in to the San Diego train station 3 hours and 30 frickin minutes later, dried snot had formed icicles along the side of my face, my jersey was crackling with dried sweat, and my sunken, hollow eyes stared blankly out of my shattered face.

Or so I'm told.

Hope you all have fun, too!

That's about a 28 mph average, so to make up for some of the hills and stop lights you probably spent a lot of time in the mid 30s. Heck, I probably couldn't do the drive that fast. Nonetheless, it's believable! That's frickin' awesome!

I'm not riding with you. I'm not worthy.

LOL!

the ride was actually only about 94 miles, and we didn't stop once. (Not even for ice cream )

Hardest ride I've ever done, and the thought of taking a pull? Well, it never even crossed my mind...

I'm in. I think I'll be wearing my USC Trojans Cycling Team jersey and riding my red and white Specialized Allez. You'll recognize me because I'll be drafting off of Pain Freak.

Really, that is sick!

One year I did the same thing. Hauled arse down there to find myself sitting on the dock waiting 4 hours for the rest of the group to come riding in.

Most of us I believe are going to be wearing our Livestrong jerseys Black on the back, and yellow in the front. We will probably be doing around 16 to 18, but sometimes we will sprint ahead and be doing around 24 to 27. We have a few newbs coming along, but we have been training them and their pace is not bad, but I expect them to be really dragging towards the end.

Dude, I *still* post from time to time. I won't drag *that* badly.
