Nope.

I just don't want to stir up any drinking and riding controversy.

I'm all for a few brews and fish tacos on a long ride. Why do you think they invented the Rosarito - Ensenada ride? It sure as hell wasn't cycling.

I just remembered I am riding to Australia on my unicycle on that day.

That should be the perfect warm up.

You could poach it (obviously not taking advantage of the food stops), and just take the normal train back.

That's definately and option. Two years ago, a friend bought someone's entry two days before the ride, so you can simply keep your eye out all the way up until the day of the ride.

Lee, how did your friend find the entry? Was he wait
listed?

Jord maybe you can add your name to the waitlist w/o train return because that's the shortest list AND watch out for postings on people selling entries. Or you can poach and we'll all share our food.

I think Kim found it on either the Trail Angel's or the OC Rebels site.

I'm in. I'll probably ride SS freewheel though, fixed hurts my old knees too much on long rides.

Anyone planning on going there and back?

I'm either gonna do just 100 and party it up on the way there, or go there and back and probably skip out on drinking.

I'll be there. I got a ticket without the train ride back. I'll be on a Kona Paddy Wagon, so say hi as you pass me.

You assume too much! That's if we can pass you.

By the way, from what I remember, the return train isn't until 4:00ish. And if you arrive at the dock too soon (for those who have the return train), then you have to sit around and wait. Not only because I will probably be riding with some coworkers, but I will take my time because I don't want to sit at the dock or wait for the train.
