Default Tour De France Parties in Pasadena

Would people be intrested? I have already gotten positive feedback on hosting some sort of events for the month long duration of the race.

Anyone here care to join if/when it happens?

Sounds interesting. Is there going to be live coverage? The Giro d'Italia has been all taped.

I would probably open for live coverage Saturday/Sunday, since it happens at 7:30am. I don't think many people who work would be able to watch it live Monday-Friday.

Otherwise, expanded/replay coverage happens at 8:00pm, which is when the real party would happen.

That makes sense. Sheesh, time zones. Why can't the French stop hating already and have the same time as us? I"m so sure.

I'm in. Do you have Tivo or a DVR? We can FF through any dull parts. Is there any way to get some of that local Craftsman Brewing beer in a growler for the party?

I do have a Tivo. We'll see how the expanded replay coverage goes. If it turns out well, I'll just use that, if it sucks, we'll bring out the Tivo. I'll start a new thread when all of the details are worked out.

Website for the event should be up and running by Monday. All details will be included, it looks like it's shaping up to be a fun time.

Great idea Jesse. It's just I'm to far to get over there. I was thinking of dropping in on a weekend before I leave for my midwest ride/s.

Right on, drop in whenever you're around. When are you heading out of town for your rides?

Just got back from the party at Jesse's restaurant in Pasadena, see his signature for details. Definitely a must do before the Tour ends. Great turn out. The place was packed with cool riders, great Italian food, and an ever better selection of pretty rare beers (German, English, Belgium, and Italian).

Nothing like riding home a few miles at night down Colorado Blvd. with old school Metallica playing after two strong Belgium brews. Beat everyone off the lights!!!

The hubby and I have been talking about this. If we can get a sitter for Adam, we're in!! We usually watch it live in the AM before work, but we can plan ahead and head up there.

Brian, good seeing you again as always.

I think you forgot the charm from your Ayinger Celebrator beer, haha.
