Anyone got a 700c front road wheel they want to unload cheap? Need it for my commuter/grocery getter (aka beer) I'm putting together.
I could possible trade you for some other mtn./road parts. Let me know. Thanks a lot. C |

Alright Thanks for the interest and looking folks. A couple of you wanted to know what I got and here it is. Sorry, the I just unloaded a bunch of stuff recently but let me look at home, bound to more stuff like stems and seatposts.
Again, not looking for anything super bling.. My commuter is an 80's japanese steel road bike. It'd be like putting lipstick on a pig. Diacompe 287V's Road Levers for V-brakes: Practically new used once. Come on now! You know you guys want to build that drop-bar mtn. bike singlespeed using V-brakes. These levers are designed to handle the pull required for V-brakes. Avid Shorty 5's Cantilever brakes. Front and rear. Brand new in box never used. Front Disc wheel. Mavic 317 built on a Specialized Stout Hub (non-skraxle). It's been lightly used. It's straight, and it's actually relatively light. Came OEM from a 2005 Spec. Stumpjumper Pro. Nitto Road Bars. I need to measure the width but I think they're 42 or 44 cm (center to center). Standard 26.0 diameter for stem. I may actually cut these and flip'em upside down since my commuter will be SSpeed. Shimano Deore Rear Derailleur. Mega-9speed. Standard non-rapid rise. Front Derrailleurs. SRAM X-gen (yeah, I know it was a mistake, but I actually managed to get this thing to work on a Hardtail. But, if you're looking to build a completely non-shimano bike it's an option.) Top or Bottom pull. Shimano LX Front Derailleur. Bottom pull bottom swing. Used. Classic White Industries ENO square taper cranks. I think these are 5 bolt, 110mm bolt circle. 175mm. Made in Japan. Used (of course, they're from mid 90's) but still look good. Salsa 34tooth front chainring. 5 bolt, 110mm bolt circle. Used, but good condition. Straight, and teeth got a ton of life left. No name Chinese brand 26" mtn. slicks. Used a couple of times. These things will last you forever. Turn that old mtn. bike into an urban achiever! Problem solver travel adjusters for V-brakes. Got some road levers but want to run V-brakes? Dream of being like Travis Brown? Well grow some mutton chops and run a moustache bar, road levers and these babies. RockShox Quad 21 elastomer shock, bright yellow color. Looking for an edge at the Dreaded Hill Climb race this month? Well, lower your front end by putting on this short fork with 63mm of plush plush travel. Suntour Groupo! Rock the 80's road technology. 7 speed freewheel, stem shifters, front and rear derrailluer, and a set of 27" wheels. Rear is crap and needs new bearings, but front wheel and front/rear tires are sweet. (I'm kidding here.. ) That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll post some pics later. Carl |
