Boulevard 2010!

This weekend starts the Road Racing season with the Boulevard Road Race. It's a great way to check your fitness for the serious racer as well as a scenic and challenging course for the first timer.

There's no telling when a famous pro or two might show up; last year Floyd Landis and the entire Ouch team showed up to battle with local team Toyota United.

Still not convinced? I'll appeal to your good-nature: this race is hosted by UCSD Cycling and is their main source of revenue for the year, please help an under-funded collegiate club team with travel and race expenses for their 2010 season by supporting their race.

Make a weekend out of it and race the Red Trolley Crit sponsored by SDSU on Sunday!

LAST weekend was the start--Poor College Kids. THAT race had sun and rainbows; good luck finding that at Blvd this weekend

Hail, snow, freezing cold temps. I'm still a bit chilled from my ride. If you go next year, take a lot of warm clothes and be sure to test out your rain gear. The climb is significant, but not as long as the descent/flat rolly sections.

Zippy, what Cat are you racing? My hubby will be out in the 3s.

I'll be working mechanical support for the UCSD Bike shop so I'm not racing. Swing by and say "Hi!"...and make sure you bring LOTS of warm clothes: it's always so cold!
