Question Specialized Tarmac & Roubaix

Does anyone have any experience of these bikes? I test rode both of them briefly and they felt pretty nice. No one seems to have a Madone 5.2 thats not in the team colours so I'm now leaning towards a 2nd Spesh bike.

The Roubaix is longer distance bike but the Tarmac feels more racey - I'm wondering if the Tarmac would still be comfortable after several hours compared with the more upright Roubaix.

My boss bought both. He gave the Tarmac to his brother and he kept the Roubaix. He said, the ro just felt better to him. They weren't my size so I didn't ride them (except in the parking lot). Looking at the specs and the fact that I like the longer rides, I lean towards the Ro also.

i dont know much about those two bikes, but if you are going for distance i would say just get whichever is more comfortable that you think you can stand being in the saddle for hours upon hours. My bike isn't really designed for super long distances, but that beach ride we just did felt really short to me because the bike is so comfortable.

I remember that ride used to seem so long, but this past time I felt as if I was only doing half the distance

Bah, the ride felt short because we were going so damned fast! Oh, and the company was pretty good, too.

Hey Koke, was his decision based purely on the feel of the bike? Ask him if he tried the Tarmac if you speak to him. Ta.
