Default Who wants to do some intervals?

Team Velosport/Sho Air are doing weekly interval training on Thursdays.

http://www.teamvelosport.com/templat...f=blog&bid=115

Quote:
We park up at Settler's Park at 5:00 which is at the second light from Portola on Culver. We are doing 10 laps which is 26 miles, each lap is 2.6 miles. The total ascent is about 1,700' which is almost as much as doing the Santiago Canyon loop. Take 2 warm up laps, then start the intervals. The goal is to maintain 13-15 mph from the light at Settler's Park to the top which is about 0.9 mile. The gradients are 4%-5% rollers. Then we go about 28 mph down Portola back to Culver. Since 15 mph is hard to hold, in the beginning is suggested to maybe do 1 on and 1 off to recover.

Other riders are welcome to join us.

I'm going to try and make it next week. I desperately need some interval training

I've only been to 1 sho-Air meeting and 0 group rides this year cause all rides are done in O.C. Who in team Velosport lives in Riverside area for some local training? This is also road intervals right?

I'm going to stop traveling for work on Jul 24. Hopefully, this will still be going on then.

Also, I'm a clyde on a CX bike, so I'll be slow.

I hope to be doing my hill intervals next Thursday morning, but I just use the bottom of Ridgepark.

I think you can get info about the Orchard Hills intervals from the Irvine RNR store, too.
