Default Road ride (sorry not MTB)

A few of us will be doing some climbing tomorrow. Going up Glendora Mountain Road to Baldy Village. Lot's of fun climbing. Starting at the gate on Glendora Mountain Road. Leaving 8am sharp. This is primarily a road bike ride as we will be on asphalt all the way up, but some really insane people climb it on their mountain bikes. We will have a group of about 10 and will be taking a few breaks along the way. 22 miles up and 22 miles back down.

Make sure you roadies wear the light colored spandex to deflect the heat.

My fluorescent orange skin suit is in the dirty clothes so I'll have to go with the fluorescent lime green shorts and jersey.I will be wearing a white bell sweep helmet-minus visor.

Sorry missed your post...

The ride was still a good one though. The first part of the ride I got out in front (what I didn't know was that Brent had broke a chain) and I got a little full of myself here and thought I was kicking ass up the road. I got to the agreed upon regrouping place and pulled in. I was looking back as I was climbing and only occasionally did I spot anybody. I had looked at my watch to see how far ahead I was of everyone, and five minutes later up come Romeo and Khai. I tried to get them to race each other up the remaining road, but they were to smart for that. After they came up and we were sitting around Romeo asked "are you timing them" and then he told me about the chain. DOH!!! Kind of burst my bubble. And for the rest of the ride I was chasing them. We still finished about a half hour or more before the rest of the group. On the way back Romeo and I raced the downhill thru some sections and that was a real blast. I had passed him at one point and I thought I had left him way back so I just started to coast and take it easy, when all of a sudden he goes flying by me. It ook another mile or so to catch him again and then pass him on the inside. Khai wasn't that far back, so don't believe him when he says he can't ride fast downhill.

Great ride today guys, but I'm freekin beat!

Oh yeah, we finished at 3. Looooong day!
