I'm signed up but don't know who's going and who I could hook up with.
Who's doing this ride? Anyone interested in riding back the next day? Or catching the train the next day? I'm open to anything. Talk to me. ![]()

Every Day Is A New Day

My wife and I are riding the Tandem. This is a social ride for my friends and I. We skip the loop around Irvine (ridden that area too many times) and basically head at leisurely pace towards San Diego (Total ~85 miles). We like to get their early and shower at a Not so Secret Anymore Place (PM me if you want to know) hang out, and eat a leisurely lunch, gab etc... The train ride back (which sounds like you are not taking) is one of the funnest parts, its basically Hoot-n-Hollering Party, highly recommend if you get a chance next year.
We are a fun bunch, we leave pretty early but ride a very social pace and social attitude ... get the feeling its a social thing, its all about the fun. You ...or any socialist... are more than welcome to join us. - Steve and Mimi P.s. Something that some people don't know is that you can bring a bag(s) and a cooler etc to the Irvine train station and then pick it up when you get to the end in Sand Diego. |

I'm doing it with a group of Mountain Bikers from Team Dirty Work in Riverside. We have some fast folks and some slow folks, so I have no idea what our pace will be, but anyone is welcome to join us. We're all on the train back, so we won't be riding back.

Believe it on not, you can probably just ride the regular train back. The Amtrak Century train is a separate train. I have done that in the past with no problem, in fact it is sometimes less hassle (but far less fun) than the "Official Train"

Do you all want to ride back together? Take the same train back?
And Early Happy b-day to you both.

I'd love to take you up on the ride, but I have to check with my other half--I was kind of hoping that we could stop by the old Irish pub down there afterwards for some Bailey's cheesecake (mmmm, cheesecake-in my best Homer voice).

I'm in. Not sure how fast or who I am riding with. Taking the train back would love some company since last year I rode back alone and lost my money and CC.
