Just mothballed my Cannondale CAAD 3.

Bought a '97 Klein Quantum Race frame off eBay. Has that BEAAAUTIFUL paint job older Kleins are famous for..

Carbon fiber lineup includes Look forks, Easton handlebars and whatever seat post I was running. Bought some cheap Asian stupid-light wheels (Torelli Bormios- 1500 grams at LBS for $350).

Other stuff I pulled off my old ride included the drive train (105/ Ultegra). 105 brakes and FSA Gossamer compact cranks

Total bike weight 17.5 lbs for 57cm. Dropped $1000 on the whole project.

Maiden voyage is tomorrow. I expect it a fairly stiff, responsive ride. Which is OK. I don't do Centuries; I tend to ride an hour or two for training..

I am on a Steelman custom in Ferrari red. Have had a lot of road bikes over the years, the Steelman has made me forget them all except my old Bridgestone RB1 that was jacked from my garage in 1995.
