Very interesting finish today. Loved the meltdown fit the 2nd place rider threw as he crossed the line. Too funny.

Cunego quit doping, got an inspired tattoo that reads "I'm doping free" and came to the tour with hopes of making a mark. Well he made a mark today, too bad it was on the pavement, ouch.

See, even cyclist experience roid rage.

Definitely was a cool finish though.

Back when I was in Denmark they had a 24hr TDF channel. You could flip it on a watch the ENTIRE stage from that day with NO commercials. Was pretty cool when I would be up at 02:00hrs.

Yeah, lance made for good american TV. When it comes down to it, once they told Astana (levi's team) that they couldn't race I pretty much gave up on it. Its nice to watch and cheer for Garmin-Chipotle, but they aren't really in contention for anything...

The TDF is pretty good this year, it looks like it may come down to the last TT on Saturday to decide the winner and for all you dirtheads out there you should be cheering for Cadel Evans since he is a kick ass MTB racer from "back in the day".
When Lance raced, especially after the 1st 2 victories, it was a matter of when he was going to wear the yellow, not how, IMO that was boring but funny watching guys turn themselves inside out to try to beat him and the USPS squad.

I've gained a lot of respect for Evans.

He may get a bad rap for not attacking but I don't think I've ever seen anyone do as well in the Tour with absolutely no help from his team.

He has truly shown that MTBers are used to doing it on their own through their own personal fortitude and strength.

CSC has been incredible. Columbia and Garmin/Chipotle have both done great and show that US cycling is going strong.

Can't wait for tomorrow's TT.

Very sad for me. This is the first Tour in almost 15 years that I have not followed in one way or another.

This is the first year I can really appreciate the tour as I started road riding this year and have done a few races. I think this years tour is great though as the yellow jersey is only within seconds or minutes. I actually wake up around 6:30 every morning to watch. After the stage I'll go do my workout. Its really inspiring!!

I'm rooting for Evans also as he has the mountain biking roots

+1 to that...

Chavanal finally won a stage today after coming so close before. He was so overcome with emotion that he broke down and wept. Drugs or no, the drama has me riveted.

The GC race is wide open with only the ITT to go. Exciting!

With such a wide open race I'm into it as well. I may not watch all 5 hours of the coverage daily, love my TIVO, but I really do find this wide open race exciting since there are so many different story lines.

I also like the behind the scenes stuff they are showing on versus, like what the domestiques do, I showed my wife the riders get their legs massaged after a stage and that I wondered where mine was; her respone "when you climb like they do maybe I give you one."

I'd be rooting harder for evans if he wasn't so funny looking...

That being said it was funny to hear about ricardo ricco getting kicked out after gaining a sweet reputation for being a big mouth. sucker.

The parts I've watched have been pretty good, but I'm just not really into following road racing.

What I see occurring is all the smack talk and uptight "riders" bitching about someone trying to win the "yellow" when they get to Champes Elysees, the winner is usually decided by then but this year the top GC riders could be with in seconds of each other depending on what happens in the TT. I would love to see a flat out sprint between all the riders and NOT just the sprinters for the f
