Impy, that has happened to me to many times to count. Now I wait to see how fast they are by gradually peddeling up to them. If they take off I try to hang with them and then when I'm sure they can't hold on or go any faster, then and ONLY then do I stand up and DROP them! This part is really good for the ego too.

I was kinda confused on my commute this morning. There was a guy on a hybrid with stuff on the racks who was keeping up with me without trying. I was riding my Salsa road bike with 48-17 gears and this guy was almost hanging with me at 22mph on what had to be a 45 lb bike. I have to admit I was actually impressed until we got to a stop light and I noticed what appeared to be a small car battery mounted to the frame and a motor mounted to the rear wheel.

He must have run low on juice because I dropped him and didn't see him again.

Heehee I do that on dirt rides - sneak up slowly, make 'em jam, then *peeeiuuuu* i'm off. Sometimes I get caught though. I always cackle madly if that happens, half of the time that's enough to make them slow down out of fear and then I can zoom off again.

Hey funny you say that because long after orange vest man, i was passed, for awhile, by a chick holding a cowboy hat on some sort of a motorized bicycle on PV North.

It was a wierd commute day for sure.
