Awesome result. I was surprised, because he was far from impressive at the Giro. But, the race of truth doesn't lie. Let's see how the next week goes. I'm also excited to see how Valverde does, since he's one of my favorites to win the Tour.

Yeah, I like Valverde too. Real shame Levi won't be there. The UCI has done as much damage as the dope has, in my humble opinion.

Hoshovd!
Levi is an epic whiner. He got lucky today. Thor Hoshovd is way more spectator friendly. Thor had the best form and power today (although Valverde seems to be on great form). I was bummed when Levi came in ahead of Hoshovd.
Thankfully, we won't have to be subjected to Levi's puny riding style in July. Contador is the real victim of the Astana exclusion. Contador is the clear leader, and [could have been] a consecutive Tour winner. Why isn’t it “Let Contador Ride” or at least "let Astana Ride"? Oh yeah, epic whiner. |

As much as I think Levi is a good guy, and I want to like him, he's not champion material. If he went to the TDF this year he would still not be as good as Contador. I'm not really a Contador fan either but I do think he's is a higher level athlete.
It's ridiculous that Astana cannot compete this year, but it's a blessing in disguise for Levi. (A really big disguise) |
