Default Michael Ball! Holy crap!!

I was wandering through my LBS today and came across a Rock and Republic jersey. I may not like MB but I did like the jersey and the colors.
Maybe I'll get it for 79.99 with my 20% discount.
I don't see who makes it though.
Voler? Pearl Izumi? Oh! It's HIS clothing line. Mr. Ball's!
WHAAAT?? 209.00 DOLLARS??? For a jersey? Is he crazy?? What balls!!
The bib shorts were 229.00. I would have thought those would be over 300 if the jersey is 209.
The ultimate fashion statement I guess.
The design is nice but Holy Crap! Paging Mr. Ball. Reality calling on line 1 2 3 4 5...

They discussed this on RBR about a week or so ago.

Far and away the most radical kit available today (for a price, of course...)

Just bitchen.

I've been waiting since the TOC (where I took the above pic in Feb) to pick one up... guess I will have to wait a lot longer. A loooooot longer.

For that price maybe they're going to through in a De Rosa Frame, or a podium girl...

I have always thought it was silly to wear a full kit unless your fast as hell. Otherwise you just look like the dufas in the polkadot climbing jersey with a triple IMHO.

Neh.....I agree.....the jerseys are sometimes lame....and I'm a roadie convert and refused to wear the kits. The mistress is a good rider tho....and a tough cookie....she can wear what she wants (and it usually doesn't match but never mention that where she can hear you) LOL

Any woman that can ride with a squirrel between her boobs for 40 miles must be fast!

I was looking for the thread but couldn't find it. What was the general consensus? Do you recall? (if you even see this post)

I wear my road kit because it's a club kit and a lot of us wear them. Plus it makes me look fast .

I seen those jerseys for sale. I couldn't believe the price and I've yet to see anyone wearing the kit outside of a guy I know on the team. I asked him for a jersey and he told me he'd get me one. But now that I know the price I'll have to tell him to forget it unless he can get it for free, I don't want him paying for it as he usually gets jerseys and stuff for free.

Kind of hard knowing the money your spending might end up in Mr Balls pocket.

Even if it's the kit of the company that sponsors you?

I just bought a pair of Rock and Republic jeans....yeh I'm a bit slow on the 2+2 thing....but it made me cringe a bit knowing I supported that design concept. Meh...what do you do... my jeans make my butt look good...I turned the other cheek
